Fatima Fertiliser Company Limited and Care Foundation on Monday signed an agreement for adoption of three Government Primary Schools in Sadiqabad, District Rahim Yar Khan. The Sarsabz School Adoptions Programme with Care Foundation is another step towards providing quality education to the surrounding communities.

CARE Foundation is a leading NGO that has pioneered a unique private public sector concept for providing free quality education to the masses. Their model of adopting government schools has proven that a cost effective sustainable model can be put in place for rapidly improving quality of education amongst a greater number of students.

Fawad A Mukhtar, CEO, Fatima Fertiliser Company Limited, said, "Education is amongst our basic needs like food, clothes and shelter. Educated children have the ability to not only open their mind and expand their horizon, but also to understand duties as a citizen and encourage other to follow them. Education has the power to change the world."

Seema Aziz, Chairperson, Care Foundation said "her foundation believes in 'Empowerment through Education'. Started as pilot project with one school in Lahore in 1998, today Care is running 225 schools nation-wide and providing quality education to more than 150,000 children." Under the agreement, Fatima Fertiliser will bear all expenses for three Government Primary Schools which will include both; infrastructure development and running expenses for a minimum of 15 years.-PR
